SEANA SMITH: We've got a bit of news here. An independent CDC panel is unanimously recommending the two-dose Novavax COVID-19 vaccine for adults. CDC director Rochelle Walensky still needs to give it the final green light, which could come as soon as this week. The Novavax vaccine uses different technology than Pfizer and Moderna. Health officials hope that it might sway hesitant Americans. The CDC estimates around 27 million Americans are still unvaccinated. You can see Novavax reacting to that news with shares up just over 10%.
