Daktronics CEO: NFL Stadiums, Friday Night Lights Filling Pipeline

Demand for bigger and brighter video displays at NFL stadiums and NBA arenas will keep Daktronics pipeline full in the second half of 2014, said the company's CEO Reece Kurtenbach. Daktronics saw its fiscal first-quarter profit jump 53% earlier this week to $8.7 million from $5.7 million in the same quarter of last year. Kurtenbach said fans will see Daktronics video displays at Jacksonville Jaguars and Cleveland Browns games this year, as well as new scoreboards at high schools across the country due to the economic recovery. Finally, Kurtenbach said advances in technology are allowing fans to connect with stadium displays like never before.
