The World Economic Forum is launching The EDISON Alliance to mobilize a global movement to prioritize digital inclusion as foundational to achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. The Alliance will be the first of its kind platform to accelerate and foster unprecedented collaboration between the ICT community and other critical sectors of the economy by working with leaders in government and industry to elevate digital inclusion and cultivate cross-pollination of ideas, practices, and initiatives.

Both Southwest and American Airlines reported first-quarter losses Thursday. Demand for travel remains strong, including among business flyers, but airlines are dealing with higher labor costs, and delays in getting new aircraft from Boeing are limiting their ability to add more flights.
