Deadly apartment collapse in Miami

- We continue to watch a developing story out of Florida in Surfside, Florida, which is in Miami-Dade County, north of Miami Beach. At least one person has been killed and at least 10 injured and sent to local hospitals after the collapse of part of an apartment building at 8777 Collins Avenue. According to reports from CNN, that building was built in the 1980s. It had relatively high occupancy, it sounds like, 12 stories, 136 units.

And according to the Fire Rescue there in Miami-Dade, about 55 apartment units collapsed. The search and rescue is ongoing there at the building. And, again, according to authorities there, about 35 people have thus far been rescued. But we will be watching any further developments there about fatalities and other news and we'll keep you posted.
