Deadly Bronx apartment fire started by child playing with stove

During a press conference Friday morning, New York City Fire Commissioner Daniel Nigro revealed that a fire in a Bronx apartment building Thursday night was started by a young child playing with a stove. The fire spread quickly throughout the building, killing at least 12 people and critically injuring four others. It was the deadliest fire in New York City in more than two decades.
