Delivery 'a completely new revenue center' for one restaurant owner

Many restaurants ramped up their delivery offerings during the pandemic. While some may have seen that traffic drop off, that hasn't been the case at New York City restaurant Bubby's. Owner and chef Ron Silver tells Yahoo Finance's Alexandra Canal that during the pandemic, his delivery business went up 500 percent and then stayed there, saying it has become a "meaningful" revenue center for the restaurant.

Click here to watch the full interview, in which Silver discuss how his business is dealing with inflation and handling hiring.

Video Transcript

ALEXANDRIA CANAL: In terms of in-dining versus delivery because during the pandemic, delivery really became a popular option, are you seeing those levels revert to pre-pandemic times? Are you still seeing delivery a very popular option right now?

RON SILVER: Well, what we saw really was that our delivery business went up by about 500% and stayed there. So it really is a completely new revenue center for us in a meaningful way, the delivery business.

ALEXANDRIA CANAL: And is in-dining back to prepandemic levels?

RON SILVER: We're up probably about 40% from the pandemic.
