Entertainment memorabilia worth $12.3 million up for auction

British memorabilia company Propstore is organizing the auction

that boasts an extended catalogue of over 1,500 lots

with an estimated total worth of $12.3 million.

"There are a number of different things that collectors are looking for when they're sort of understanding where the value should be for something and how much in demand it's going to be. So, it's how popular the film is, for starters. You know, was it a big, successful blockbuster movie? // But a lot of it comes down to the nostalgic value for the collector as well. It's the eye of the beholder. What's the experience that they had, maybe as a youth that they are trying to revisit."

Other highlights include Darth Vader's black gloves from 'Star Wars: A New Hope'

and a first-edition hardback copy of 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone'
