Former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin dies at 96

Yahoo Finance's Akiko Fujita reports on the death of former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin.

- Well, former Chinese leader and General Secretary of the Communist party Jiang Zemin has died at the age of 96. He suffered from leukemia and experienced organ failure. Jiang rose to power in the aftermath of the Tiananmen Square protests back in 1989. Though he was seen as a divisive political figure, he presided over the nation at a time of fast, accelerating growth and development.
