Inside the "Secret Club" of Commodity Traders That Run the World

A small and secretive group of hedge fund managers is making risky, leveraged bets in the lightly regulated commodities market even as the ordinary investor remains unaware, says Kate Kelly, author of "The Secret Club That Runs The World". Kelly says traders and executives at places like Goldman Sachs and Glencore profited heavily from the commodities boom, dominating markets and even pushing up prices of aluminum and other metals. Finally, she says US regulators have a hard time catching up with these physical commodity traders because they are often based overseas or operate deep within large banks or corporations.
