Jimmy Fallon sings disturbingly romantic duet with Sophia the Robot

Sophia the Robot returned to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to show off what she's learned since she was last on the show. Sophia was on almost 2 years ago and played Rock-Paper-Scissors with Jimmy, but this time around she had a new "artificial intelligence voice" to show off. Sophia asked Jimmy if he would like to sing a karaoke song with her. He chose A Great Big World's song "Say Something," featuring Christina Aguilera. Almost immediately, Sophia had the song downloaded and was ready to sing. As the two performed the song, things went from awkward to romantic and then to creepy. In fact one viewer tweeted, "Watching #FallonTonight and the duet with Sophia was creepy as hell."

Despite being a little creepy, the robots performance was pretty impressive. She was part of a segment called "Tonight Showbotics," in which cutting edge robots are showcased. And according to Jimmy, this was the first human and robot duet in the history of the show Later in the episode, Jimmy also sang a brief duet with a smaller robot that looked like a cross between a saxophone and a toilet brush. Oh, what amazing times we live in.
