JP Morgan's Chuka Umunna Says Investors Are Demanding More on ESG

Sep.08 -- JPMorgan Chase Head of EMEA ESG Chuka Umunna said the debate around the extent to which ESG investing delivers positive outcomes is a sign of a maturing market, which "regulation is running to catch up". He was speaking to Bloomberg TV's Francine Lacqua during JP Morgan's European High Yield and Leveraged Finance conference. JP Morgan has already committed $2.5 trillion over the next 10 years to support the UN's sustainable development goals and is the top global underwriter of green bonds. Umunna said "if you don't look after the environment, your communities, your customers then ultimately you don't deliver shareholder value."
