Judge Clears Way For Same Sex Marriage In NJ

A New Jersey judge who ruled that the state must allow same-sex marriage has denied Governor Christie`s request to delay the ruling`s start date. Currently, only civil unions are allowed in the state, but Judge Mary Jacobson ruled at the end of September that barring marriage rights to same sex couple was unconstitutional. Jacobson chose Oct. 21 as the day the state must open marriage to gay couples.
