Karine Jean-Pierre to replace Jen Psaki as White House Press Secretary on May 13

Yahoo Finance Live reports that White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki is set to leave her position later this month.

- President Biden announcing earlier that press Secretary Jen Psaki will depart from the White House on May 13, next week. Now Psaki has been in the position since President Biden took office. Karine Jean-Pierre will replace Psaki as the White House's next press secretary. Now she previously served as a deputy assistant to the president. And with this promotion, Jean-Pierre will be the first Black woman and first openly LGBTQ+ person to serve in this role.
