Labor Secretary Walsh reportedly plans to depart from the Biden administration

Yahoo Finance Fed reporter Jennifer Schonberger details accounts stating U.S. Department of Labor Secretary Marty Walsh's supposed intentions to leave his position in the Biden administration.

SEANA SMITH: But I also want to get to another big story that we're following out of DC today, and that's the reports that US Labor Secretary Marty Walsh, that he's planning to leave the Biden administration. What do we know?

JENNIFER SCHONBERGER: Hey, Seana. There is a report out that Labor Secretary Marty Walsh is exiting the Biden administration, this reporting coming from Bloomberg. That would mark the first cabinet-level exit for the Biden administration. The White House not immediately responding to Yahoo for comment.

Bloomberg reporting that he's been offered a role to lead the National Hockey League Players Association, which represents the NHL's athletes in both the US and Canada. Of course, this coming in the midst of a very strong job market and on the evening of the president's State of the Union address.
