The legacy of Paul Volcker on banks and politics

Paul Volcker, the former Federal Reserve Chairman who tackled inflation by inspiring a rethink of monetary policy, died Sunday at the age of 92. Volcker served as Fed Chair from August 1979 to August 1987 under presidents Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan.
