The March Madness game that altered history

Loyola (Chicago) and Mississippi State met in a historic NCAA Tournament game in 1963, called “The Game of Change.” Miss. St. broke state segregation laws to play Loyola, a team with African American players, in a game that would be consequential not only for the future of college sports and desegregation, but also for the lives of the players who would be forever connected.
