Yahoo Finance's Ines Ferré breaks down how stocks and sectors are performing in midday trading.

Video Transcript

INES FERRE: Off the lows of the session, as you were just mentioning. And if we look at our sectors, we are seeing energy that's outperforming. We're also taking a look at consumer discretionary, communication services, which have flipped into the green. You've got utilities and healthcare that are underperforming.

Over on the NASDAQ, as I was mentioning, Amazon up more than 2% right now, part of consumer discretionary. You've also got Alphabet that's up more than 1%. On the Dow, the underperformers being some of the healthcare stocks. You've got J&J. You've got Home Depot that's down. Nike, Chevron, and Walmart are outperforming right now.

I do want to mention what's happening in the meme world because we are seeing AMC up 2 and 1/2%, a little bit volatile after that record breaking Memorial Day weekend for "Top Gun." It had opened in the green, went into red, and now back in the green. But we are also seeing GME down more than 8%. And this is after these stocks had seen some big gains during last week's rally.

I do want to mention the Chinese ADRs. These are seeing some gains after China signaled that it will be easing some of the lockdowns there. And that is sending also crude prices higher, as well as the EU leaders, which have agreed to a partial ban of Russian oil imports. So we're seeing WTI futures that are trading above $117 a barrel. We're watching Brent crude trading almost at $124 a barrel, guys.
