Yahoo Finance's Ines Ferre checks out the market and sector gains heading into the closing bell, in addition to Nasdaq tech leaders, the software and semiconductor industries, ARK ETF components, travel stocks, meme stocks, and crude oil's commodity price action.

- And so now we are going to close near the highs of the session with the NASDAQ up 2.7%. That's the outperformer out of the major averages. And you've got the S&P 500 up 1.8%. The Dow gaining 417 points as we go into this final minute of trading.

Taking a look at the sector action, we're looking at consumer discretionary that has led today followed by materials, communications services, and technology. Over on the NASDAQ 100, take a look at this left hand side of the screen, those mega caps. Alphabet up more than 3%. Amazon, part of consumer discretionary, up 3%. Tesla also up more than 5%. And Nvidia and Meta also higher.

In fact, you've also even have Microsoft, which recovered from its earlier losses this morning after the company modified its outlook. It will be closing the session in green territory. Mentioning software stocks, this is our software chart. Quite a bit of green that we're seeing on the screen here. We're also checking out the Semis that are seeing green across the board.

And even ARK Innovation ETF holdings, look at this, you've got Shopify up more than 10%. Zoom, that's higher. Spotify is also higher. And looking at the travel stocks, these are seeing green across the screen. Over on the Meme stocks, we're seeing GMV up more than 10%. GME had opened in the red slightly, it was up around 1% earlier in the session this morning. And you can see the gains here in the afternoon.
