SEANA SMITH: 90 seconds until the closing bell and Ness [INAUDIBLE] has a closer look at today's moves. Hi, Ness.
- Hi, Seana. I'm taking a look at our YFi Interactive. You can see, we are going to end the session in the green with the NASDAQ up about 1%. The S&P 500 also up about 1%. I want to show you the US dollar index, which is down a bit, retreating just a bit. So this is helping support. Equity prices also helping to support commodities, which are quoted in dollars.
And taking a look at the sectors, we are seeing today all 11 sectors of the S&P 500 in the green, but really energy has been the one that has outperformed, along with technology-- being held by Apple-- and also consumer discretionary being helped by Amazon and Tesla.
Taking a look at the Dow, as I mentioned, Apple up more than 3.5%. On the opposite end of the spectrum, you've got Amgen here down more than 4%. Also looking at crypto, we have been watching Bitcoin today. Up more than 3.5%, just above $22,400 per token.
And finally, just showing you the energy stocks. Quite a little bit of green that we've seen here with a lot of these names. Although this morning, they were even greener. Here's the closing bell for today, Monday, September 12 at the New York Stock Exchange.
