Matt LeBlanc uses 840 hp Dodge Demon to land NASA jet

Matt LeBlanc tested out the new Dodge Challenger SRT Demon on Top Gear. The 840 horsepower Demon is the most powerful V8 production car in history. And LeBlanc ended up using fall that power for an unusual purpose. LeBlanc used the car to help land NASA's ER-2 high altitude jet. The jet is based on the famous U-2, which is so notoriously hard to land that it requires a radio spotter in a chase car to relay landing information to the pilot. Since the jet lands at over 100 mph, Leblanc had to rely on the Demon which happens to also be the fastest accelerating car in history. It can travel from 0 to 60 mph in 2.3 seconds. Even though the two ton car doesn't corner particularly well, LeBlanc was able to wrangle his loaner into submission. LeBlanc caught up to the ER-2 as it was attempting to land and he was able to help guide the big jet to a safe landing. Top Gear airs Sundays at 8 p.m. on BBC America.
