KRISTIN MYERS: Let's talk McDonald's. They will actually be having a new menu item, or rather a menu item making a return for the first time since 2012. We have Yahoo Finance's Sibile Marcellus to tell us all about it. Hey, Sibile.

SIBILE MARCELLUS: The McRib is making a comeback. So McDonald's here giving Popeye's a run for their money with their chicken sandwich. McDonald's bringing back the McRib starting on December 2, nationwide. So I want to make you really hungry right now.

So here's what's included in the sandwich. You've got seasoned, boneless pork; barbecue sauce; onions; and pickles on a bun, of course. So we've seen the impact of the pandemic on McDonald's. They had to remove some of their menu items. They added others, such as cinnamon rolls and apple fritters. And they're not giving up on the sweet stuff, too, because they're going to be offering, starting next week, free pastries with an order of coffee.

So we're really seeing here the fast food wars continue. And we've seen Americans really turn to fast food when it comes to take out. But when it comes to restaurants, they've had much bigger struggle attracting consumers during the pandemic and also with all the restrictions, obviously, on eating indoors and outdoors and winter coming in the Northeast.
