BRAD SMITH: You hear the music, you know what time it is. It is time for "Cut for Time," three stories, one minute each. We start with this today. Microsoft announced a pledge to bring "Call of Duty" to Nintendo consoles for 10 years as it pushes to complete its acquisition of Activision Blizzard. This comes after the tech giant also offered a 10-year deal to Sony for the franchise to also be available on PlayStation devices as well.

BRIAN SOZZI: Can Microsoft just bring better graphics to Nintendo's systems? Whatever they're doing on the Xbox, just bring them to Nintendo. Please, help them out. Just, oh, the Nintendo is not where it needs to be, guys.

JULIE HYMAN: No? I don't know. I don't know anything about the game.

BRIAN SOZZI: It never has been. It never has been.

BRAD SMITH: This is just the crux of the deal actually being able to go through and for Microsoft to be able to show that its Activision of-- or its acquisition--

JULIE HYMAN: Acquisition.

BRAD SMITH: An acquisition of Activision Blizzard would not result in any type of competitive environment that regulators who are looking to move this deal forward or reviewing this deal, that they wouldn't look at this deal and essentially say, OK, this lessens the competitive environment.

BRIAN SOZZI: OK, you look at that. You see that?

JULIE HYMAN: That video is making me--

BRIAN SOZZI: It's making me dizzy. Oh, no.

JULIE HYMAN: Ugh, I know, yeah. We don't need vertigo from the VO. Yeah, we'll see if this actually convinces regulators to--

BRIAN SOZZI: That looks like--

[BUZZER]

JULIE HYMAN: --get them to approve the deal.

BRIAN SOZZI: --one game I definitely won't be beating anytime soon.
