More than 100 shot in Chicago during Fourth of July weekend

More than 100 people were shot in Chicago during the Fourth of July long holiday weekend. Almost half the victims were shot between Tuesday afternoon and early Wednesday morning. The violent weekend occurred after the Department of Justice and the Chicago Police Department announced last week the new details of the Chicago Gun Strike Force, a partnership between federal and local authorities to combat the rising levels of gun violence in the city.
