Yahoo Finance Live's Seana Smith checks out the declines seen across markets, sectors, and Nasdaq leaders ahead of the closing bell.

Video Transcript

[MUSIC PLAYING]

DAVE BRIGGS: All right, less than two minutes away from the closing bell. We thought we'd book Seana Smith to get in, too, you know.

SEANA SMITH: Guest appearance over here. I know, you guys can't get rid of me here.

DAVE BRIGGS: Break it down.

SEANA SMITH: All right, let's take a look at some of the action that we're seeing this afternoon, Dave, because like you and I were talking about at the top of the show, it doesn't look too promising. NASDAQ off just about 2%, not too far from the lows of the session hit earlier this hour. You're looking at losses of just over 227 points. S&P off about 1.2%. The Dow the best of the three major averages, although we're still looking at losses of 239 points.

Taking a look at the sector action that we're seeing as we head into the closing bell, very similar to what we saw at the start of the hour. Utilities, healthcare leading the way. Consumer discretionary, communications services are among the laggards.

Let's take a look at the NASDAQ. Some of these larger cap tech names among the biggest decliners this afternoon. In just a few minutes, we're going to be getting results from Google and from Microsoft, two names to have on your radar this afternoon. Shares of both of those off just about 2 and 1/2%. Look at that. Amazon, Dave, off just around 5%. Tesla off 3 and 1/2%, and Meta off just over 4%
