Yahoo Finance's Adam Shapiro breaks down three of the biggest headlines heading into the weekend.
ADAM SHAPIRO: --Friday for the closing bell. I want to go to News on the Move because crews are making progress against the largest wildfire burning out west. Weaker winds helping reduce the advance of the Bootleg fire in Oregon. It destroyed an area-- you ready for this-- half the size of Rhode Island. And that includes destroying about 70 houses. Firefighters scaled back some of their nighttime operations, thanks to the winds dying down.
The Cleveland Indians are changing their name. It'll happen at the end of this season. And the baseball team's manager announced the new name-- the Cleveland Guardians. The name pays tribute to the guardians of traffic, two sculptures on the Hope Bridge, which those of us who used to live in Cleveland, the north coast, takes you from the east side to the west side. And just for the record, I was in the east side. The east side is better. OK, I'm going to get hate now for that.
And fans of Kanye West, they got to hear his 10th studio album, "Donda," named for his mom. He previewed tracks from the album during an event last night at Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta, which was also streamed on Apple Music. It features some of the biggest names in rap. Fans are still waiting for it to drop on streaming services. That is supposed to happen later today.
