ADAM SHAPIRO: News on the move-- police in Nice, France, are investigating a suspected terror attack that killed three people. A man was arrested after he stabbed several people inside the basilica of Notre-Dame in Nice, France. One of the victims, an elderly woman, was decapitated. The suspect is reported to have shouted "Allahu Akbar" repeatedly during the attack. It comes a few weeks after another incident in which a teacher was decapitated in front of his school after that teacher had shown students a cartoon of the prophet Muhammad.

JULIE HYMAN: At least two people are dead and more than 1.9 million are without power in the wake of Hurricane Zeta. The storm made landfall in Louisiana yesterday as a category 2 storm, and then it weakened to a tropical storm as it moved rapidly northeast. Zeta passed over the Alabama-Georgia state line early today, then it moved on to North Carolina. I believe it's now over Virginia with wind and rain continuing. This is a record season for major storms hitting the contiguous US, according to researchers.

ADAM SHAPIRO: Police in Minnesota charged 60 people in a telemarketing scam that allegedly stole $300 million from more than 150,000 elderly victims nationwide. US attorney Erica MacDonald called the scam the largest elder fraud scheme in the country. The charges include conspiracy, mail fraud, wire fraud, and violating the Senior Citizens Against Marketing Scams Act of 1994. Now the defendants are from 14 states and two provinces in Canada.
