“Have they not seen his father?” “One tattoo is one too many.” A little quadrant of the Internet is incensed with Victoria Beckham over her 19-year-old son’s tattoos, after the designer and former Spice Girl shared a photo of the two of them on Instagram. In the photo, Brooklyn Beckham’s ink is there for all to see — including critics of the scrawlings on his chest and arms who have made their opinions known in the comments section of Yahoo Lifestyle’s original article. “Never seen an attractive tattoo. Only people who's attractiveness has been diminished by them,” one reader wrote. “Every person who gets a tattoo eventually wants it removed,” another commenter advised the family. Beckham herself has not always supported her son’s body art. In fact, her husband, the heavily tattooed David Beckham, accompanied Brooklyn to get his first piece of ink. Many Yahoo commenters have set aside their views about body art to defend Victoria Beckham from the mom-shaming she’s experienced online, pointing out Brooklyn’s age and independence. “He’s an adult who is capable of making his own decisions,” one reader said. “I see absolutely no reason to criticize Victoria for it.” What do you think?
