Oil giants Chevron, Exxon to report earnings Friday

BRAD SMITH: And everyone, switching gears here, got to get to our stock or stocks to watch. We got multiple ones here on the day. Chevron and Exxon Mobil, they're set to report their first quarter results Friday, or Fri-yay. Energy and fuel costs spiked amid rising oil prices during the onset of the international conflict that saw retaliatory energy sanctions implemented. And energy sector, specifically oil and gas names, they will have a spotlight on their results.
But more specifically, what they signal about their pricing and outlook will be digested by investors across industries, as these would be expenses that affect everything from personal and mass transportation all the way to supply chain production as well. So there, we're taking a look at Exxon, Chevron, and the S&P 500 Energy Sector ETF, XLE. You see where they closed on the day. We'll see how they do after the reports drop tomorrow.
