Panera Bread launches ‘The Baguette’ handbag

BRIAN SOZZI: All right, Panera is launching a new accessory for your wardrobe, The Baguette. The item is launching ahead of a big week for the fashion industry is intended to hold the company's newly-created toasted baguettes. I have to drop a line to Panera founder Ron Shaich. You know, just my long time friend. I'm just curious-- he's no longer involved with Panera, but I'm just curious on what he thinks of this.

As for me, it's in Panera green so they hit that point. It looks to be maybe leather, maybe hit that point. And, you know, they make good sandwiches so why not protect them? It ain't Subway. You don't want to put a Subway sandwich in there.

JULIE HYMAN: Does it keep the sandwich warm, I wonder? Does it have like some of the features of a-- of one of those pizza box, pizza things?

BRAD SMITH: Oh, like the Domino's--

BRIAN SOZZI: Did Luigi get a raise? I mean, it's unclear to me. I-- [STUTTERING]

JULIE HYMAN: Do you think this is gonna be the hot fashion accessory in fashion week?

BRIAN SOZZI: It should be.

BRAD SMITH: It should be.

JULIE HYMAN: Can you see Anna Wintour sporting one of these?

BRIAN SOZZI: Just don't put that Subway tuna sandwich in there. No, no, no, no, you don't want to do that.

JULIE HYMAN: You don't want to put the Subway tuna sandwich anywhere.

BRIAN SOZZI: Anywhere, especially in your stomach.

JULIE HYMAN: Yeah.

BRAD SMITH: I'm just gonna say that Zazie really could have used this in that episode of "Atlanta" where she run around with a baguette. And anybody who's seen "Atlanta" and that episode particularly, they know. She could have used one of these.
