Recovery Fund Can't Just Be Credits, Says German Parliament's EU Committee Chair

Jun.30 -- The head of the German Parliament's European Affairs Committee, Gunther Krichbaum advocated for grants, instead of just credits, in the EU recovery fund being discussed to pull the bloc out of the economic crisis in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. Speaking to "Bloomberg Markets: European Open," on June 30, from Berlin, Krichbaum, a member of Chancellor Merkel's CDU party, looked ahead to Germany's EU presidency, which begins on July 1, during which, the EU will work to agree on a recovery fund.
