Rod Rodriguez, Veteran, Olympic Coach and race car restoration enthusiast

As part of our continuing coverage of Hispanic Heritage Month, we're bringing you stories of influential people in the Hispanic community. Rod Rodriguez is a veteran who used to coach wrestlers for Team USA before collecting and restoring old racecars. He was inspired by his father, the first Hispanic driver to win the Rocky Mountain 1961 Championship and was inducted into the Colorado Motor Sports Hall of Fame. He told News5 that he's faced challenges throughout his life being Hispanic, but encourages young Hispanic children to strive for greatness.
