Romer Calls Allegations Against IMF's Georgieva 'Embarrassing'

Oct.11 -- The IMF’s executive board plans to deliberate Monday over the fate of the lender’s chief, Kristalina Georgieva, after discussions Sunday with her and the law firm that alleged improper actions in her previous job at the World Bank, according to a person familiar with the talks. She's accused or pressuring staff to adjust data for a ranking in China’s favor. NYU Stern Professor Dr. Paul Romer discusses the allegations on "Balance of Power."
