Senate releases report on Hunter Biden, resurfaces old allegations

Yahoo Finance's On The Move panel break down what's moving markets.

Video Transcript

- It's time for Word on the Street where we check in with our panelists, find out what story they are watching. There is a report out from a congressional committee having to do with Hunter Biden, the son of Joe Biden, and his involvement in a Ukrainian business. Rick, there was much ado made of how nefarious, allegedly, Hunter Biden's activities were there. What did the report find?

- I'm going to try to save everybody a lot of trouble. You can just skip this report. It's a total nothing burger. So we all know that Joe Biden's son, Hunter, did capitalize on the family name by getting this board seat that did pay him probably a few million dollars over time that he would not have gotten if he was not the vice president's son. But the biggest scandal that this report was able to document was that Hunter Biden having this job created an awkward-- that's the word in the report-- an awkward situation for US policy makers. And that's about it. The report even says, we could not find any other evidence of significant problems. So just skip it.
