Smoke from Canadian wildfires wreaks havoc on East Coast
For much of the northeast, millions of people are under a smoke advisory due to wildfire's in Canada. The country is experiencing it's worst wildfire season in history. As a result, New York City's air quality was one of the worst in the world in terms of pollution.

- For much of the Northeast, millions of people under a smoke advisory right now. Smoke from wildfires in Canada have made it feel like the end of days-- what seems to look like the end of days outside in New York City.
- In terms of the scale of the fires, it's 13 times what we have seen in recent years. They're on track right now for the world's worst wildfire season in history.
JEFF GUSTAVSON: It was very interesting to fly in yesterday and land in that--
- You're lucky that you got-- that your plane got in.
JEFF GUSTAVSON: That's right.
- New York City now one of the worst places in the world in terms of air pollution.
- As in terms of the air quality index, as you see on your screen, New York hit 342, literally off the charts.
- We just got through the pandemic now. Once again, we're being told stay indoors, wear are your masks. I mean, these images are really scary.
- If people who are in positions of power and decision makers experience this more frequently, maybe then that will spur some action.
- We're both probably looking at Orange skies that smell like smoke. Have you and your team taken a step back and thought about the next 25 years for Campbell Soup?
- And a day like today, as you point out, it's a reminder to us that we've got work to do.
