Yahoo Finance markets reporter Ines Ferre checks out market and sector losses ahead of the closing bell, as well as Treasury yield gains and Dow Jones laggards.

Video Transcript

[MUSIC PLAYING]

RACHELLE AKUFFO: And it's about 2 minutes away from the closing bell, so let's bring in Yahoo Finance's Ines Ferre to break down all the market action today. Ines, what are you watching?

INES FERRE: Yeah, Rachelle, well, stocks today were wavering. We're looking right now at the Dow that's down near the lows of the session, down 1.2%, down almost 400 points. The markets had quite a bit to digest today-- Speaker Pelosi's visit to Taiwan, also some commentary from Fed officials. Look at the NASDAQ down 1/10 of a percent and the S&P 500 down 0.6%, near the lows of the session for that.

A lot of the action in the bond market today. We have seen the 10-year treasury note going up to-- the yield going up to 2.74. This morning, that yield at the lows of the session was at 2.514, so quite a big move that we've seen with the 10-year treasury.

Taking a look at the sectors, we are watching real estate, financials, industrials, which are in the red. Communication services, energy, they have flipped into the red. And looking at the Dow, Caterpillar and Boeing are dragging on the Dow.
