Stocks Up Midday, Buffett's Berkshire 'Class A' Shares Hit Milestone

At midday on Thursday, U.S. markets are holding onto gains rising on comments from Russian President Vladimir Putin. Warren Buffett's Class A share of Berkshire Hathaway (BRKA) hit a milestone in today's trading. The stock will now cost more than $200,000 for just one share. UPS (UPS) and FedEx (FDX) have received licenses to extend their express package services in China. The two companies have been waiting years for permission to deliver services to Beijing and other cities without needing joint-venture partners. Disappointing earnings news is pushing Noodles and Co. (NDLS) down more than 20%. Cisco (CSCO) is trading lower after forecasting little to no revenue growth in the current quarter. The world's largest networking-equipment maker is cutting 6,000 jobs. Slated to report quarterly results after the closing bell are J.C. Penney (JCP) and Nordstrom (JWN). TheStreet's Susannah Lee reports from New York.
