Storm Isaias Brings 'Significant' Flooding to Southeast Pennsylvania

Tropical Storm Isaias caused “significant” flooding in Pennsylvania and spawned at least six tornadoes across the northeast on Tuesday, August 4, according to the National Weather Service.

Tornadoes were recorded in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. The weather service said it recorded four to seven inches of rain throughout the region, causing “severe” flash flooding and “significant” river flooding.

This video shows street flooding in Kutztown, a community in Berks County, Pennsylvania.

Isaias has downgraded to a post-tropical cyclone and was located near eastern Quebec as of Wednesday morning, the National Hurricane Center said. Credit: Collin Berger via Storyful
