Target earnings top estimates, House passes shutdown bill: Yahoo Finance Live

Target’s third-quarter earnings surged past expectations, sending shares higher. The company did report a decline in comparable sales. Target is the latest big retail name to report this week, with Walmart (WMT) and Marcy's (M) on deck for tomorrow. In Washington, the House of Representatives passed a bill to avert a government shutdown. The bill, which now heads to the Senate, would fund the federal government through early 2024.
