At least two tornadoes touched down in Northern Iowa, as a massive storm pushes from the Upper Midwest towards the Mid-Atlantic states. Emergency Management officials say at least two businesses and a home were completely destroyed. (June 13)
robin: I lived in Taiwan for seven years and had National Health Care there. Great, prompt care by highly trained people. My wife was in the hospital after an accident for a month. The final bill fit on one page and was $5,000. We paid it from our checking account and supplemental private insurance reimbursed us. This was after three surgeries by neurosurgeons. Most of the bill was for a private room. The bill in the States would have been at least $500,000. We found that everything there was generally 1/100th the cost of medical care in the States. Something is seriously seriously wrong here. Obamacare is the least of our worries.
