'Tropical Remnants' From Storm Harold Cause Flooding in Colorado

Residents in Rifle, Colorado, were urged to stay home as local media reported that “tropical remnants” from Storm Harold were due to bring rain to the state toward the end of the week.

Footage released by the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office – Colorado shows road flooding in Rifle on Thursday.

The Rifle Police Department said on Thursday that officers were on accident alert following several reports of mudslides and accidents in the town.

Local media reported that “tropical remnants” from Storm Harold, which made landfall in Texas on Tuesday, were expected to bring rain to Colorado on Thursday and Friday.
