Yahoo Finance's Alexandra Canal and Brooke DiPalma taste test the wackiest holiday items.

Video Transcript

- The last block of the show the day before Thanksgiving, so you know what that means. It's time for a Thanksgiving taste test. And who better to bring in for this is Ali Canal and Brooke DiPalma. The two of them were on a mission to find some of the wackiest Thanksgiving flavored food to try. They followed through on that mission. Ali, take it away first. What do you have? And tell us what it tastes like.

ALEXANDRA CANAL: Well, like any good holiday, Seana, it's all about the alcohol. So the first thing I'm going to be taste testing is this Bird of Courage Roasted Turkey flavored Whiskey. Now, this is from Tamworth Distilling. It's a distillery in New Hampshire. This is limited edition, but it is available to purchase both online and in person at their location in New Hampshire along with Philadelphia's Art in the Age.

So you know what? This, I'm not really a whiskey drinker. But if you've followed me on this show, you know that I've tried curly fry vodka, crinkle cut vodka, Natty Light vodka, Gray Poupon wine. So the bar is already pretty low. So I feel like I might actually enjoy this. I've heard that people actually cook their turkeys in alcohol. So let's see. I'm going to take a nice little Thanksgiving swig.

Oh, OK, burns little bit going down. I do. I mean, it tastes like any old whisky to me. I don't really taste anything crazy fall or crazy turkey. But I do have to say that normally I feel like with whiskey, you sort of have to pair it with food. And lucky for me, I do have something in this surprise box.

Now, this is actually bacon scented wrapping paper from Black Label. It smells like smoked bacon. And I wish I could pass the smell through the computer. But this looks like bacon. It smells like bacon. Unfortunately, it's not edible. So I don't know if it tastes like bacon. But underneath it, I'm going to unwrap to reveal the most beautiful thing that you have ever did see, which is--

- Is this a chicken?

ALEXANDRA CANAL: A KFC Bucket. This is a KFC chicken bucket, and what looks a little different is that we have this personalized bucket warmer with your own mitts. Unfortunately this was a limited edition promotion from KFC, so you can no longer get this bucket hugger. But it's supposed to keep your chicken warm.

KFC is always rolling out these crazy marketing schemes, but what they're also doing is they have a new feature on their website, on their app, when it comes to quick ordering. And if you order through this new feature, you can get some free KFC freebies.

This is just another example of how fast food giants like KFC are trying to appeal to customers, trying to be flexible, added those customer loyalties. But before I kick it over to Brooke, let's see. Let's put this taste this chicken. Did the bucket warmer keep it warm? This was delivered about a half hour ago.

- It'll be good regardless.

BROOKE DIPALMA: Looks pretty good.

ALEXANDRA CANAL: Delicious, bucket warmer for the win.

- All right, Brooke, tell us what you have.

BROOKE DIPALMA: So Seana, I have that coveted Thanksgiving pie which sold out from Reese's. This debuted last week, sold out in just two hours. Now this huge pie retailed for $44.99. As you can see, it was quite hard to take a cut of it. There's actually supposed to be 48 servings in there. Now I definitely cut a bit of a bigger serving for myself.

Each serving is about 160 calories. So if I did my math right, that whole entire pie is about 7,680 calories, so definitely enough to feed a family, maybe one or two Thanksgivings meals. It's just that one pie. Now only 3,000 of these pies were sold, as I said $44.99, 9 inches wide, 3 and 1/2 pounds, so let's give it a try. It looks quite oily. It doesn't quite--

- It looks like heaven. It looks so good.

ALEXANDRA CANAL: So good.

BROOKE DIPALMA: It doesn't quite cut easily. So I'll just take a little bite here. It's basically a big Reese's peanut butter cup.

- It's like my dream cake or pie.

BROOKE DIPALMA: Mmm, very good. Now nothing goes better with some pie than some ice cream. And so this is Little Debbie's ice cream. It's sold exclusively at Walmart this holiday season. It's $2.50 per a pint. It has vanilla flavoring with some cake chunks. Take a bite. It's sweeter than the pie. It is sweeter than the pie. But it is quite good. Now to wash this all down, we do have turkey gravy soda. Now, I know Ali has this.

ALEXANDRA CANAL: I do.

BROOKE DIPALMA: So I'm going to do a quick cheers. Sorry, Seana, we didn't get it to you in time, but virtual cheers.

- I know. I think I'm OK sitting this one out. If you guys didn't send the pie, there would be a little bit of a problem.

BROOKE DIPALMA: So this is the turkey gravy soda from Jones Soda. How is it, Ali?

ALEXANDRA CANAL: It kind of tastes like a creamsicle soda. It's not terrible, not as bad as I thought.

BROOKE DIPALMA: I think the ice cream sort of--

- Brooke, what about you?

BROOKE DIPALMA: I can't really taste it too well. But I'm not a big soda person to begin with. And this is quite fizzy.

- I think your taste buds might be on overload after both of those desserts. All right, Ali and Brooke, thank you both for bringing that to us. I think if I had to decide, I'd rather go to Brooke's house right now.
