Has Walmart Just Signaled More Bad Financial News is Ahead?

TheStreet

Could Walmart disappoint when it reports second quarter earnings on August 14? U.S. division president and CEO, Bill Simon, told Reuters the giant retailer hasn't been a beneficiary of the upturn in the U.S. labor market. However, the latest comments from Simon seemed to have contradicted statements he, as well as Walmart CEO Doug McMillon, made on the companyâ¿¿s May 15 first quarter earnings release. With Walmart shares underperforming the S&P 500 and Dow Jones Industrial Average in the past three months, bad news could be ahead for the company. Brian Sozzi digs into the matter.
