Walmart scraps robot scanner plans

Walmart is abandoning its plan to have robots scan shelves. Yahoo Finance's Brian Sozzi weighs in.

Video Transcript

BRIAN SOZZI: Julie, one story that definitely took, caught my attention this morning is Walmart. Not, no longer using robots to scan shelves. I do think robots are the future in retail, but a Walmart spokesman tell me they are, they've ended their relationship with Bossa Nova, a robotics company. So they will no longer roll out 1,000 shelf scanning robots in their stores. They will though, keep floor scrubbers.
