BRIAN SOZZI: All right, recession fears are still swirling, but that hasn't stopped some from making speculative bets in fundamentally challenged companies. Total of six Russell 1,000 stocks are up more than 50% this year, points out the folks over at Bespoke. Sotera Health leading the charge with a more than 100% gain. Yahoo Finance worst company of the year for 2022, Carvana, also getting a boost from speculators with a big gain of its own.
