The week in Trumponomics: Trump pushes tariff tally with China

It's time for Trumponomics. The Chinese trade tariffs are in full affect and President Trump seems to be intent on imposing an additional $200 billion on Chinese-made goods. Officials in Beijing appear to be toning down their responses to Trump's threats. Chinese Commerce Ministry spokesman Gao Feng said the government will take quote "necessary" steps to hit back, but when pressed he didn't outline specifics about which measures China would retaliate with. And then there's Canada striking back on Trumps steel and aluminum tariffs by imposing duties on $16.6 billion of U.S. packaged goods, steel and aluminum products and it levied a 10 percent surtax on various goods from soup to whiskey, hair-care and manicure products. --
