WH backs DNI director under fire for NSA surveillance testimony

White House spokesman Jay Carney rebuked questions about whether Director of National Intelligence James Clapper dodged "straight answers" on government surveillance methods, adding President Obama "certainly believes that Director Clapper has been straight and direct in the answers he's given," and that Clapper has been "aggressive in providing as much information as possible to the American people, to the press."
