Why American Eagle stock is falling today

Yahoo Finance Live's Brian Sozzi discusses why American Eagle shares have fallen.

Video Transcript

BRIAN SOZZI: Yeah, speaking of decline, let's pull up one trending ticker on the platform, Yahoo Finance platform, we're watching here this morning. That's American Eagle Outfitters. A couple of reasons why the stock is, in fact, under pressure. The company was the latest retailer to warn on the first quarter and, really, guys, one of the first retailers to call out Ukraine, what's going on in Ukraine or between Ukraine and Russia as the reasons why they are, in fact, warning here. You had JPMorgan retail analyst Matt Boss cutting his price target to $32 from $37 on American Eagle. Sales in the fourth quarter up 32% in stores, down 3% online. But again, the market is not liking this first quarter outlook for American Eagle.
