Why President Obama Wants to Pass the Buck on Oil Exports


Talk in Washington to lift the U.S. oil export ban has grown since the rise of tensions in Ukraine and Russia. Eurasia Group energy analyst Greg Priddy tells TheStreet's Joe Deaux that he expects the Obama administration won't use the political capital to push the issue through Congress, and that instead the next president will likely deal with the export ban. Further, Priddy says it is telling that Republican leadership hasn't spoken on the issue as the winners and losers of such legislation aren't divided by party line.
