Laredo Petroleum finds new CFO to replace outgoing executive set to retire in March
NEW YORK (AP) -- Laredo Petroleum promoted its senior vice president of investor relations to chief financial officer Tuesday.
Richard Buterbaugh, 57, has been in investor relations for the company since June.
He replaces W. Mark Womble, who retires in March. The company started looking for replacement this summer.
Laredo Petroleum Holdings Inc. is an independent oil and natural gas company active in the Permian Basin and mid-continent areas of the central U.S. It is based in Tulsa, Okla.
