UDR names Tom Herzog as chief financial officer

DENVER (AP) -- Real estate investment trust UDR Inc. said Tuesday that it has named Tom Herzog as its chief financial officer and senior vice president.

Herzog will take on the new roles Jan. 1. He worked previously as chief financial officers at real estate investment company Amstar.

UDR announced in May that its prior chief financial officer, David Messenger, was resigning to join another company in the real estate sector.

As of Sept. 30, Denver-based UDR owned, or had an ownership position in, 54,985 apartment homes.

The company's stock ended Tuesday up 25 cents at $23.17.
